Pakistan (PK) contains the territory under the de facto control of Pakistan. It does not include parts of Kashmir under the control of India (IN) or determined by bilateral agreement between Pakistan and China (CN) to be part of China but are still claimed by India.

There are 30 entries in the world atlas for Pakistan (PK). They are enumerated below, with links. Populations in Pakistan (PK) for administrative units are from the 1998 Census and estimated populations of urban areas from Google Earth images are from about 2004.
Pakistan's administrative units treated here are ranked into three levels: province level, district level, and tehsil level. Province-level units are the four provinces (Punjab, Sindh, Northwest Frontier, and Balochistan), Islamabad Capital Territory, the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA), and two parts of Kashmir: the Northern Areas and the Islamic Republic of Free Kashmir. Province-level units other than FATA are divided into 124 districts and FATA is divided into 7 tribal agencies and 6 frontier regions. These are further subdivided into tehsil level areas, which are called talukas in Sindh. The tehsil level units have been modified considerably since 1998 and the changes are not represented here. In Balochistan, there was no data for tehsils. Instead, the census gave data for subdivisions, which are made up of multiple tehsils.
The world atlas entries correspond to divisions, a geographic unit discontinued by Pakistan in 2000.
