Uzbekistan (UZ) Buhoro Province

Image: Alim Khan (reigned 1911-1920), the last emir of Buhoro. The state of Buhoro, founded in the 16th Century, ruled much of Central Asia until its conquest by Russia in 1868 and then continued as a Russian protectorate with reduced territory until the Russian Revolution.
